The Gospel
The Bible Message: The entire Bible centers on a single, surprisingly simple theme: God loves you so much that He gave His only Son to make a way for every sin to be forgiven so you can spend eternity with Him (John 3:16). That's the essence of the gospel, and the central subject of the Scriptures. The written Word of God is intended to help us understand this "good news." By studying the Bible, we learn that each person needs to be saved (Romans 3:23), each person can be saved (Romans 1:16), and God wants each person to be saved (2 Peter 3:9), offering salvation as a free gift that cannot be earned through human effort (Ephesians 2:8–9).
From Sin to Salvation: What separates us from God is sin. No matter how good we think we are, every person is guilty of sin (1 John 1:10) and has earned the wages of sin, which is death (Romans 6:23). Since God is absolutely perfect, no one deserves to spend eternity in heaven. Instead, we deserve to be separated from Him forever (2 Thessalonians 1:9). No amount of effort, no good deeds, no money, no talent, or achievements is enough to take away this guilt (Isaiah 64:6). Fortunately, God doesn't want us to be separated from Him, so He made a way to fix what's broken (John 3:16–17).
The Way Through Christ: That one and only way is through faith in Jesus Christ (John 14:6). God Himself came to earth as a human, living a perfect and sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). He willingly died as a sacrifice in our place to pay the debt for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), bearing our sins so that we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). Anyone can be saved—forgiven by God and guaranteed heaven—through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:13). This isn't a call for blind, ignorant belief (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1). It's an invitation from the Holy Spirit to submission and trust (James 4:7), choosing to let go of everything else to rely entirely on God's grace rather than our own.
Believing and Receiving: The only way to find salvation is by accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. That means believing that you are a sinner in need of grace, that Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh (John 1:14), and that He died and rose again to pay for your sins (Romans 4:25; Romans 8:3–4; Mark 8:31; Hebrews 10:14). It means trusting solely in His sacrifice rather than your own works to save you (Titus 3:5).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him”

In response to His invitation:
Lord, You are the Creator and the only Savior. But I have sinned. I have not obeyed Your Word. I have tried to run my own life. I have ignored You and Your will for me. I have tried to decide for myself what is right and wrong. My sin has earned death and separation from You. I am lost unless You save me. Thank You for sending Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to pay for my sin and guilt. Thank You for raising Him from the dead and giving Him authority over my life. I receive Him as my Savior and Lord. I receive Your gift of eternal life in Christ. I will turn from my sinful life to serve You. Amen
